The city of Sharjah

This is what it typically looks like in the city of Sharjah - pronounced Ash-Shaariqah (الشارقة) in Arabic. It is not as rich as cities like Abu Dhabi and Al-Ain in terms of lifestyle, development, clothing and food; and while it is more conservative than Dubai,
I would not label it as the most conservative city (as is commonly believed) if I compare it to Al-Ain. However, it is known to be a city where many people of the Sunnah and Salafiyyah reside, where the scholars visit to give talks, and where there are beneficial opportunities to study the deen.

All praises and thanks are to Allaah (subhaanahu wata'aalaa alone)

  2. Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaah

BaarakAllaahu feekum for starting this blog. I recently visited Sharjah in May. I've visited twice before and enjoyed it each time.

Can you possible post information on exactly how one would make hijrah to UAE? Although I've visited, I didn't find it easy to possible stay due to the visa issue and trying to find employment in the educational (university level) sector. It'd be nice to know the status of potential employment, how to job hunt, how to rent a flat on a vistors visa, etc.

I look forward to more posts.

    JazakAllaahu khayr

    1. Wa'alaykumussalaam warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuh, wa iyyaakum! The most common way is to get a job in the teaching field, and that usually requires an MA, unlike Saudi Arabia where many places would hire you just with your BA. You can also open or get involved in a business there. And if you have the money, you can also buy property there to get residency. There could be other ways as well as Allaah wills.

The most important thing is to make du'aa to Allaah with a sincere heart and rely on Him to open the doors for you.

May Allaah give us all tawfeeq.
